I am sure Dave would welcome the call, after all someone has spent money with him to get the ECU in the first place.
And I am sure most tuners would prefer you had the correct information to do the job rather than you get duff info and then assume their product is crap.
OK if you rang him and expected a 3 hour, step by step, How To Map A Car training course on the phone then I could see any tuner may not be happy with that.
But you arent asking for that.
