Driving other cars means just that, you can not drive a car owned by yourself, only owned by someone else and
it must be insured already, and being third party only wont cover the car once you get out of it

Ring around and you may find someone willing to do it on a classic car policy if your very lucky but this will still cost you an arm and a leg, and this will only make the car harder to drive

wrong, i have spoke to the police & insurance companys about this. as longs as your with the car it is insured, although this does mean that it couldn't be left parked on the road
