Default amal valve question

if the amal valve was knakerd or had the wires on the wrong way would that cause you not to get any boost?

Don't think it matters about which way round the wires are but if it was broken you would only see actuator pressure

ok, it must be knackered cos only making .8 boost is there a way to test them?

When you turn the ignition on it should click. I think just remove n refit the plug should make it click too when ignition is on

Check resistance of the valve with an ohmeter 20-50 ohms across the terminals.

I have a question , why is it called an 'amal' valve?

Because that is where they were made in Sweden, I really should get out more.

Sort of, it will only do so when the engine is running, re disconnect/reconnect.
