Default Sierra Cosworth Cam Caps

Can someone tell me if there should be washers under the M8 nuts that tighten down on the cam caps.

Just have normal flat washers under mine.

I didnt have washers or spring washers under mine! I think I will use washers and a bit of Loctite, unless someone tells me different. Thanks for your replies.

flat washers under mine. 1 head was untouched and the other one was a modified one both had the flat washers.

Just checked flat washers torque setting is 18 to 21nm
