Can I use 2WD engine loom?
Hi all, running a 2wd set up at the min, I am fitting a 4wd motor [with knock sensor] and a L8 ECU, [again from 4wd ], will this work ok or will I have to fit the 4wd engine loom as well.[cos of the knock sensor, dos it make a difference?]
Next prob is main power/feed plug is different from early 2wd to late 4wd, anyone know the wiring code to power up the 4wd loom?
Hope this makes sense!!!
Cheers

The 2wd loom doesn't contain any knock sensor wiring, so if wanting to use that you will need the 4wd loom with that.
The feed plugs may well be different but the wire colours are broadly similar,
thin green = tacho
red/blue = permanent live
black = switched live
black/red = fuel pump(relay switch)
brown/white = temp sender gauge
brown/red = air con
