Default temp sensor problem

hey, i have just bought a 2wd cossie and the temp gauge always reads half but the lad told me when i bought it that there was a 4wd head on it and therefore the sender was on on it only thing i have sitting at the fuel rail is the wires for it what i neede to know really is where does the 4wd sensor posistioned

passenger side of head (nr the coolant sensor) under the inlet manifold!

so its just a matter of me connecting the wires a have for the ornigal one on to the one nuder the inlet manifold.

Yes only a single wire, just extend.

cheers found the sensor on the block but the wire the lad i bought the car off showed me the wire which he said was for the sensor but it seems to be 2 wires soildered together i can check later to see what colour they are can't remember now.

Brown/white is the temp GAUGE one on 2wd.
