Unhappy Fitting oil temp sender

Got a 3 door sierra cosworth. Can`t put the adapter plate on the oil filter as the filter will hit the engine mount, is there any other way to fit the oil temp sender. Cheers allan

Just get a fitting in the oil pressure hole with room for one more fitting.

yup got that aswell, but just to take note if your thread on the sump is a bit worn, the adapters only have about 5 threads to screw into the sump, lucky my sump thread was ok but still used some ptfe tape on the adapter thread just to keep it nice and leak free

Bear in mind that if the temp sender is not long enough it will not show correct temperature - the temp sender needs to be well into the sump.

Why not get a sandwich plate between the block and the oil filter?

or as lead foot said, a sandwich plate this is what you need. this though has a pressure sender fitted too.
