My Mk3 Fiestas fuel cap has stuck in place. The key won't turn in the lock and therefore i can't fill it with fuel.

Any suggestions on how to get the bloody thing off? I've considered drilling down through where the key goes but unsure if this will actually help me. Any ideas?

hi mate....there a pain in the arse when they do that... the only real way is the key but be prepared for the metal part of the key to twist round in the plastic part..best use a old key really... once you do get it off take the clip off the bottom of the cap ,strip it all down and lube it all up...will be fine after that...

Had this in the early days of Fiesta production , best advice is soak in with WD40 or the like then slowly work the key in the lock until it frees up .

Cheers, i'll give that a bash tonight. Hopefully the key won't snap!
