Default anodising intercooler

im buying a new intercooler and want to get it anodised... does it affect the intercooler in any way?
will it make it weaker? and will i have to blank off the ends so that it does'nt get inside when being done?

we anodise jobs at work and its only 1 thou (.025mm) thick if that, so i'd be very very VERY surpriced if it would affect anything. We only anodise jobs to stop them oxidsing (rust for aluminium).

How is anodising ref wearing ????. i can see a problem due to it being an intercooler at the front of the car.

What price would a front mount cooler cost for anodising in black ????.

Dave.

Paint will act as a insulator, compared with no paint, as heat will have to travel through the paint as well now instead of just the bare aluminum.
