You can get adapter plates now to fit the Mazda RX8 6 speed box to the Cossie lump, they are lighter than a type9 box, smaller, close ratio and they take big power....the best bit is my mate picked up a complete box from a pretty new car complete with carbon prop for £100.

Not seen any. I think you may as well find an E36 M3 and just supercharge or turbo that though.

There are (or were) a few about. I knew of at least three that did this conversion.

your 135 engine would be perfect in an e36...look how tuneable it is without opening the engine.

It would, but the lack of ECU options makes it a very expensive or tricky conversion unfortunately!

wow. There is a red e46 supercharged one just around the corner from me, the owner is an old boy but he still track days it.

I bet it is a very good engine to do and has the throttle bodies etc as standard.

It has razor sharp throttle response just as you touch the throttle which made it very hard to to drive for the owner. I had to do a lot of work on that and get the traction control to tame the car down.

Is this a standard engine with the supercharger kit? Or is it a forged lump? How reliable are the standard engines with a charger on them? Over to you Mark

I wasn’t involved with the engine but it was rebuilt last year after a problem. It’s a off the shelf kit from USA and the Ecu on the car is a Emtron KV8.

Thanks Mark. I keep looking at these cars with the charger on them. I seem to notice they've all had the bearings done . It's a 40% power increase. That can't be good for them surely?

Cheers buddy, yeah they are fairly going up in price. Ive had a few silly offers for this over the years but never been tempted. Once everything is under one roof i will get stuck into it and get her on the road
