Now here is the biggest prob with the car.
The car has had a injector prob and pretty much put a hole in one of the pistons.
We are going to restore the car but does anybody know if you can put a normal 1.6 bottem end and put the xr3 clyinder head on it or is there any difference in the bottem end??? As we think it would be easier just to change bottem ends as the one in the car would take a lot of work. But is it worth trying to save the orginal engine???
Will start work on the car 2moro so will update then.

I've got a MFI engine sat in my garage, was running before took it out, as I replaced for a tuned lump. If it helps you can have it. Your job to collect though.

Well it's been awhile since the xr3i project has been updated so here it is.
The rusty front end has been cut out and a new on put in from our 1.8d mk4 escort donor car.
A big thank's to Smudge 374 who give us the new lump to put in it.
The rust on the rear has been cut out, a clean piece metal welded in and the filled.
Tomorrow we will fireing the new lump up so will update some more then.

Hi Sam, glad to see your making progress! Don't forget that engine has no oil in it! I drained it for you to transport. Did you change the rocker gasket?
Looks like your making decent progress.
