fiesta mk3 zetec turbo
I have been on here a while but have never really put anything on here about my cars, so here goes.
This is my fiesta mk3 zetec turbo that i have built and will be reshelling soon in to a fresher shell that i found.
its not a huge spec just a 2.0 zetec bored out to fit vauxhall c20let pistons and standard rods, area 6 valve springs, devil developments inlet cam and exhaust manifold modified zetec inlet for a vauxhall fuel rail 650cc injectors and a t34 turbo turbo smart exteral wastgate running 20psi and kms management, its running an ib5 gearbox and 4 paddle clutch, admittedly it is nearly at the end of its life with a few visits to santapod helping that along,
it has koni suspension all round cobra clubman bucket seats and a rear strutbrace i brought off neil davies who im sure all of you know. It is stripped out and all sound deadening has been removed with the battery located in the boot.
it has si bumpers purely because the front and rear panels were pretty rotten so easiest option was to remove them and cover it up
this is how it sits now

by far not the tidiest set up but for now it works lol ive now got a far more solid shell and am planning to start again and take my time with this one to make it alot neater and not just throw it together,
this is the new shell
plan on keeping it looking as much like this as possible to add to the sleeper effect, im hoping in this one to go for a bit more power than the 250 it is and get a stronger gearbox perhaps mtx and going for perspex windows and strip it out a bit more to also make it perhaps a track weapon.
but as i say im going to take my time but will keep this updated as i progress forward

Admittedly 250 was a complete guess lol I had it on the dyno at devil developments and it was 212bhp at 12psi, but haven't had it done again since it was mapped to 20psi lol

Yeah am thinking if either keeping the steels it has on it or going for 15s but haven't made to many decisions on looks yet just thinking of upgrading engine wise...and thinking of running charge cooler so I don't have to make any changes to the front of the car... Adding to the sleeper effect

only a small update as havent made much progress with the silver one, i managed to tidy up the wiring loom in the engine bay on it and routed it nicely in the inner wheel arches, i have fitted the 3 rear perspex windows and started to clean the sound deadening thats left out of it, but time and light hasnt been on my side recently
the red one i took to santapod a little while ago now and managed to run a 13.2 at 108mph and done a couple of passes at over 110mph which i was quite chuffed with lol
this was the car on the day takes the abuse well
i recently took it to work and made up a side exit exhaust,
not the neatest job in the wheel but it doesnt knock or rattle and sounds great on boost (little bit loud normal driving though)

sooo thought it about time i actually did something on the car, havent got many pictures but got a few bits and pieces done.
finally got my mtx mount in which i got off of gary (crazycage) thanks again mate. And got it welded in to place with the help of michael clarke who a few of you may know, i then moved on to mounting my intercooler and radiator.
i then thought id put my gauge pods in and see how it would look, now just need some gauges to put in them lol
i then for a small amount of weight loss decided to cut a bit out of my bootlid.
THen more importantly thought its about time to actually take the engine out of my other fiesta sad day for me really she looks very sorry for herself
thats as far as ive got really, got bits and pieces on order and hope to make more progress in the near future

So since my last update I purchased some steel rods for the zetec to fit while the engines out. So put it on the engine stand and drained the oil and the oil was grey removed the sump to find all 4 of my under piston oil jets and been hit by the pistons and broken off. They then ended up in my oil pick up pipe, but not before getting thrown around inside my block a fair bit.
Michael Clarke then went about removing the pistons fromthe rods and found that they had heat seized themselves in and once removed the gudgeon pins were fucked lol so now am waiting for a delivery of pec pistons and cat cam valve springs from devil developments. As for getting the car to central day, the chances are slim now lol

I used a modified cvh engine mount but it started cutting in to my timing belt cover so I've got to try something with less flex, and it's going to have a focus rs gearbox and a crazycage gearbox top mount and soon to be back mount aswell. In the red one it was just an ib5 gearbox no diff or anything lol so bigger and better things in this one
