my budget bonus summer screamer
So finally got my arse into gear and decided to put up my very own resto thread
Been on here for a while now and after being on the look out for a cheap first (road legal) project found this quite local to me and for a good price too...deal was done and she was on her way home with me! Have been going to the shows for a number of years now and decided im going to have this as a rolling project so ive got something to rock around in this summer then hopefully rebuild it to a nice standard over next winter. will let the pics do the talking...
as it started...
first things first started to strip the interior...
started to collect some bargain bits and do abit of work...
previous owner had patched up the front panel so cleaned this up abit before giving it a lick of red oxide
then decided i needed a quick and easy paint job just to give it a different look and to hide the previous owners arch repairs etc so four rattle cans later and this is where im at...
popped up my cousins after todays work and he's just polished his consul..
his 100e...
any thoughts and comments welcome! will try and keep the photos coming

just going to throw together as abit of fun to use this summer...been buying a fair few bits for it recently, xr3i engine and box which is now for sale as im about to collect a complete xr3i to strip of all its running gear. rs turbo calipers with vented discs, the recaro's in the pics...not rst recaros but only cost £37! will do for the time being! escos alloys, full koni's all round, lower it then basically just rag it round all summer long hopefully funds will allow a nice respray and turbo engine next winter.
not to everyones taste at the moment but it is a rolling project.
