Default My FRS build

Right then... Well i bought my rs back in august 2011 totally standard.

Since then I've put a fair bit of money and time into it and this is how it stands today..

The spec,

Engine/performance

Airtec 100mm FMIC
CPE Group a relocated filter
Nortech manifold
Milltek decat
Milltec cat back
Sabra Live map
Forge actuator running 23psi
Gaz coilovers
6 paddle AP racing clutch
Samco none return valve hose
Roose Motorsport heater matrix hoses
Scangauge 2 (monitors coolant/inlet temp, volts, boost ect)
12mm TPI spacers all round
Omp steering wheel+boss
Sparco evo buckets
Sparco 3 point harnesses
Ebc ultimax discs/ pads mintex track use m1155
Braided brake lines/Motul RBF 600 fluid (to do)

The rest..

St170 headlights
amber indicator/ side repeaters
US spec rear lights
Rear De wipered
Aero wipers
Striped rear interior
Removed fogs (for air feed to the brakes)
8k HID's

The plan for this winter (money dependent) is to take the car off the road and do a full underside resto removing both front and rear sub frames have them shot blasted, powder coated in gloss black and replace every bush with polybush "powerflex Black series"

The following are my things to do/ to buy while it's off the road.

Whiteline Rear adjustable ARB
steam clean arches, engine bay, underneath, basically anywhere that needs the be done
Under seal/or some other kind of protection
Oil cooler/with sandwich plate and relocate filter
Oil catch can
Fit Stack Oil pressure gauge/Oil temp gauge/AFR gauge into the dash along with the scangauge and remove the double din unit
Replace all auxiliaries with roose motorsport hoses
WRC bonnet/spoiler
Spun turbo housing
flock dash
4 point 3" Harnesses
BCM/Custom 3" decat
Paint a few parts in and around the engine bay
Color code door handles
Geo set up for track
And a general clean up around the car and maybe a detail.

Hopefully next year..

Sabre hybrid turbo, Should see 400hp+
Sabre 400 MAF
Siemens Injectors with different fuel reg
Swirl pot with uprated pump
Safety device cage
Carbon fiber door cards
Full respray
Ect, ect

My main plan with it is to get it as track focused as i can and still have it as a usable road car. There's probably a few things that i've forgotton about and i'll update as soon as i remember

There OZ superturismos 18x7 et35 mate. Had to fit 12mm spacers on the front so they would fit over the breaks due to them being 7j but did the same on the back to even it all out

I ran ony std wheels 16mm at the rear and 10mm at the front with longer studs, but wasn't confident having spacers.

Keep the updates coming mate

I bought the tailpipe off BCS and then got a mate to angle it the way I wanted it, then had the big box taken out and had a cossie centre section welded in for a bit of noise as it was too quiet. You can get the tailpipe ready done off eBay. Mines a 3.5" diam.

I've seen a lot of FRS MK 1's as we all have but those wheels and stance is the nicest I've seen so far mate.

Small update.
At the weekend I'm going to be fitting adjustable topmounts (camber/caster), hel braided lines and some fresh break fluid then next weekend a full geo setup

Also picked up a baileys header tank fairly cheap so i'll be getting that powdered up in satin ready for my resto

Right then!

After being off the road for just over a month now I've finally made a start on the RS. So my overall plan is to make it into a clean but fairly serious track car. I'm sure some things will change over time but here's the gist of what I'm planning to do..

Starting with the suspension/underneath:

First off I'll be cleaning up the underside and having it painted in imp blue.

Sub frames will be blasted and powdered a satin black then all bushes replaced with powerfelx black series.

Having some GAZ Gold coilovers made up to the specification I want along with some adjustable rear arms. Also going to try the White line rear ARB.

There will be more to add but ones I'm happy with the suspension side of things I'll start to work on the interior.

The plan here is to have it fully stripped, painted (undecided of colour atm), SD Cage (painted the same) flocked Dash, Remove stereo and have oil temp/pressure/scan gauge in it's place. Again there will be more to add over time.

Lastly the performance side of things.

I'm not sure what the exact spec I'm going for yet but am aiming for the 400 mark, well that's my happy figure anyways so will update on this when I get to it

This is just a basic overview on what I have planned for the RS there will be a lot more to add overtime

And finally a pic of how it stands atm..

Thanks Daryl

Very nice RS Focus, a credit to you

Surprised how good it looks without the lower gille, love the wheels and stance, I would change the amber lenses in the ST170 lights for clears, but still love it.

Thanks bud Yeah it's something I have thought about doing. I will be changing the amber indicators for tinted ones though so will match the st170's.. Also the intercooler will be going satin so will have a slightly different look on the front end

Looking good mate....

If you're going full out track car, why not leave the Amber's in the lights and lose the indicators in the bumper and use them for extra cooling ducting?

Keep up the good work.

Indeed mate. Took the sub frames apart today ready to be blasted and powdered next week. Had a couple snapped bolts but the rest wasn't too bad. knackered now though haha.

Cheers bud, hmm that's a thought. Unsure what I'll do as I'm always changing my mind lol. I will be using the fog light hols for brake ducking though. Got plenty of time to think about what to do
