Non-Ford restoration: Lancia Delta
Hi everyone
First of all I present myself. I'm an aeronautical engineering student, from Spain so I apologize for my writing hehe (I'll do my best, I promise you). If this thread isn't in the right subforum please let me know.
I'm a Ford lover and that's why I'm here; i had some in the past, but for now the only Ford in my house is my dad's Ford Focus C-Max 2.0i Duratec. I hope some day to do the same restoration with a Cortina, very soon!
Some years ago, two months before I get my license I bought this car in order to restore it and drive it later ( restorations never end, but i didn't knew that).
It's an '87 Lancia Delta HF Turbo ie. An 1.6 liter engine, turbocharged, fwd. It was in very bad conditions, it had been used for track days but without taking any care of it, and they crashed it several times I think...
The interior was... uhh. I don't know what they tried because if the wanted to get a light weight they did it wrong, no carpet but still isolation LOL. And yeah, thats the ECU on the floor.
RUUUUST!!!
Now important stuff
I will continue later, this last pictures are from 2010 or something like that, if you want to know how it's now these are the last pictures i have:

Thanks! As I said this is only the first part, now i'm working with the engine and chassis. The last picture it's at Jarama Circuit, in a "classics track day". The car goes really good I'm very happy with it, I'll post videos off that.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Very nice to see one surviving.
My last delta HF was sold back in 1992 it was less than 8 yrs old but had Rotted through the A pillars and rear of the roof above the tailgate and all the doors had serious rust I can't see how any have survived in the uk as that was 20 years ago and it had already started to dissolve.

Thanks!!!
The car goes really good at track, better than I expected. First time I was really scared haha but it did it well, it was on 18psi (maximum for the MAP) and the wheels spinned in every single corner haha. It was too much for the conditions, I dont know about the power but I passed Integrales 16v on the straights easy. Also I inflated the wheels but not enough and I was driving on the sidewall of the tyres...
Last time everything was better, low boost so I can push the throttle without worrying, and the wheels inflated to 37 psi. The car is very fun and all I need for now its better rear tyres to avoid oversteer when braking hard.
