Thanks for the comments guys!
Put on the side skirts today, and worked on the breaking system, put on some carbon protectors on the cage, worked on the alloy plates one the floor and some other small things that takes time but not really show any progress on the car.
I had to take a picture with the wheels on when i adjusted the calipers
Some fresh paint inside.

Done some work inside.
Wired up the als valve by a switch, wired up the gear indicator and the innovative boostcontroll/bbl with safty future of boost cut if the engine goes lean.
I painted some panles in the dash and cromatized some bolts and nuts, cleaned the fusebox and checked the loom etc... thing takes time.

Any more progress fella?
Have you had your first drive yet?
Enjoyed reading about this gpA build.
Apologies if I missed it, but what engine management are you using to get the anti-lag?
I have one Q for you - do you know the 909 number of your steering arms? Ford seemed to change the spec quite frequently.
And if you want to sell on any of your gpA spares let me know! (No harm in asking!)
Cheers
Iain

Hi
Thanks for the nice complements guys.
I have not started the car up yet, last week I made up parts for the 909 swirl pot from copying an original one. A friend of mine will weld it together this week.
The ecu is a P8 who is programable by GEMS modifycation, I have been thinking about changing to pectel T6 for launch and flat-cut, but I think i will stick to what I got if it will work properly in dynoing. I use a modyfied idle valve (and a ported albow) on a switch and the ecu have two maps on a switch for turning the als on. So I must flip two switches to turn the als on.
I will check the 909 numbers on the steering arms for you later mate.
Regarding the plates on the floor, I will let them stay as original (as the rest of the car, not much is modifyed on it, and the plan is to get it as it was in the 80`s) It`s many things I would change on this car if I would let go of the restoring to "as it was".
Regarding this I regret putting in the seqvential gearbox and has started to look for a getrag box. Please let me know if you know of one who is for sale. I need this as I will apply for a HTP pass from FIA, and the all the parts must be homlogated.
I`m sorry Iain, there is no parts I want to sell at the moment.
As usually I`m in no hurry, and I follow my own plan to get the car finished next summer (to many project and things to do in life).
I have used my escort mk2 for challenge rally lately, this is good fun actually. Do you have challenge/historic rally in the UK?
And last monthe I had a weekend trip to Nurburgring with my e46 M3, that was really a must do in life for all petrolheads

I tried to put oil in the gearbox, with no luck.
When is was toped up the oil ran out in the back, by the prop shaft
I looked closer at it, and it turns out that quaife har made my gearbox for reinforced propshaft with 38 mm instead of 35 mm outer dim om the spline
I called gkn and they can rebuild my prop shaft for about 4-500£ + 25% vat arrrg, buts that is life.
I have also taken away the useless plastic bearing on the steering column and put a metal bearing there instead for less "flexing" in the steering wheel.
I grinded of 150 gram, and made m6 holes instead og the m16 that it came with when the stress here is not that great.
Actually I feel bad when I show this picture because as you can see there is not painted black under the dash (as you may know this car is actually moonstone from factory, and sold new in Norway with there isn`t many left of nowadays). In some way I started the wrong way with this restoration, what was just supossed to be a rebuildt enigine has been a whole lot of more work. If I was to do everything again I would taken it all apart in a cradle and resprayed the whole car under, over and inside. Next time maybe I dream about making a circut rs 500 for historic racing when this is finsihed.
