Default My Fiesta Mk3 2.0 Zetec

Hello,

first post in this forum. First of all, greetings from Germany, Bavaria, near Munich. Please don't be too strict with my english, i am not used to write long textes in english

I just want to present you my Fiesta Mk3 with a 2.0 Zetec Silvertop Mondeo engine. And describe following changes and modifications.

Specs:

Build 06/1996 in spain, so it's one of the very last mk3s
1,3l engine in pretrolium green
Imported to germany 1998, and since then, its just a sunny day summer car

pre owner striped almost everything of the car, means i don't have carpets, insulation, electric windows, radio, speakers, power steer, aircon (yes.. it had aircon ), air flow channels behind the dashboard or anything else. He also replaced the back window with a marcolon window.
But he replaced the 1.3 engine with a stock 1.8 zetec lifted from a fiesta rs1800.

it was just really basic fiesta without any interior. when i bougt it, i reinstalled central locking, electric windows and an eletric boot opener, just have at least minimal luxery but still keeping it light.

last october i fitted the 2.0 zetec silvertop from a mondeo into the car to give it a little more power.

So here are the Specs for this moment:

Fiesta MK3 from 1996

Engine and exhaust:

Zetec 2.0 engine
Fiesta inlet manifold, with mondeo throttle body
Airfilter K&N Replacement Mat (no open Air filter allowed in germany with sports exhauts)
Mondeo 2.0 Injectors
Stoffler Custom Exhaust Manifold (4-2-1)
200 cspi sport catalysator
Mongoose exhaust from cat

exterior:

wrc front bumper (made in GB, one of 3 in germany)
H&R Coilovers
7,5x16 ET 15 + 9x16 ET15 Alloys with 195/40 and 215/35 tyres
selfmade side skirts
Fiesta S rear bumper
aerocatch hood locks
fiesta magic rear lights
no back door openers
and many moore little things (like no side indicator, air flows in front wings....)

interior:
removed everything
2 x FK sport seats
sport steering wheel
wiecher aluminum cage (modified)
macrolon backwindow and door panels
battery to the boot, emergency switch at the dashboard
oiltemp, volts gauges at dashboard
plasma tacho
and i lot more i sure forgett

soo here now some pictures:

follwing changes are comming:

wideband lambda
petrol pressure controll
free ecu (MS or DTA)
changes to interior
and a lot more to come

soo long thread, i hope my english was ok

greetings

just went "shopping"

- Innovate MTX-L Wideband Lambda
- Petrol Pressure Controller (don't know the english word here )

hoping with settings at lambda right getting more power out of it. at the moment the engine is running a bit poor ( AFR ~ 16.5, Lambda 1,15)

greetings

i will

any advice here, what to take?

Megasquirt ? (Kdfi ?) DTA S40 Pro?

MS is much more cheaper, without any software restrictions. DTA is more expensive, but not as well tinkering.

trijekt is way to expensive

greetings

today the postman gave me a lot of new stuff

fist of all, a new rocker cover. Its a normal silvertop cover with some layers of real carbon and some clear coating. Looks pretty nice to me. The sicker is self made

Also the new bushes arrieved, i will install them on the weekend

Furthermore the new stearing wheel arrieved, momo jet, leather and carbon.

Compared to the old plastic selm wheel, its sooo much more grippy. I like it!

New:

Nevermind all the things in the car, i am working on the stereo as well

greetings!

Yesterday it was time to fit the innovate MTX-l wideband oxigen sensor... it was laying around here for quite a while.

Its the first step of the upcomming megasquirt project (MS2 V3)

This video is showing lamda, lambda 1 = 14,7 AFR

today i fitted my old fiesta 1,8 ecu to the car. Running with external edis on a stock 16v loom.

former it was the mondeo deep ecu with fiesta 16v futura loom (internal edis)

now its running a little bit richer and more agressive, a little less torque at low rpm, but more "oomph" at high revs. i like it

today it was time to renew some of the engine parts.

First of all the air intake manifold ist now black and not old silver. Also the throttlebody is black and the maf sensor. Some parts are polished now.

I think the result is pretty ok for a "quick and dirty work"

Also my custome made carbon plate (3mm thick, real carbon) arrived. Now it's time to fit the new instruments.
