Thought i would do a little update. Haven't got any photos to show though. Today i made a start on rebuilding my gearbox. Its all ready to go back together just need to fit a new bearing race to the casing then i can seal it up and bolt it back up. I also got all the new parts for my callers so rebuilt them and just waiting on my bells to turn up and i also sorted a clutch kit out just need to have my flywheel skimmed. Will be having a really big update in the next week or so as i have bought a big part to the build and just waiting for it to be delivered

UPDATE 15/10/12
got a nice update to do this time, not much done but busy collecting more parts for the build, managed to get my self a bargin dry sump kit off a very well known drag fiesta from hungry (thanks szabyk) havent had much of a chance to fit it yet but removed my oil pump to remove the gears out of it but need to block the oil gallery and chop the pump about so it fits in to the titan sump pan, i have hopefully worked out where i am going to fit the oil tank just need to put the engine back in so i can work out the hight of the tank
here are some photos of the kit and how much off the oil pump needs to be removed

i also got the drive shafts and custom hubs off him aswell, think they will be more than up to the job because if they didnt brake running 9sec 1/4 miles with drag slicks i cant see me killing them

Get a gripper in there, best bit of our car for the track, love the way it puts the power down. Who will be doing your mapping?

what gripper diff are you using?

going to either have the engine dynoed at scs or the car live mapped at grove garage, really unsure on what way to have it done

UPDATE: 21/10/12

today i had a little play with the oil pump and chopped off the bits that where in the way of the sump pan fitting,
so after a bit of chopping and filing i ended up with this
Name: 20121021_115134.jpg
Views: 246
Size: 140.6 KB

and the bits that i didnt need
Name: 20121021_115156.jpg
Views: 239
Size: 203.1 KB

i then bolted it all to the engine to make sure it all fitted how it should
Name: 20121021_121641.jpg
Views: 270
Size: 166.5 KB
Name: 20121021_121727.jpg
Views: 239
Size: 148.5 KB

all i have left to do is blank off the oil feed part of the pump and i will be taking it to work next week to do that and then refit it all to the engine, hoping to have the engine back in the car in the next week or so then i can work out the hight of the oil tank and get that all fitted in place , hoping to see if i can have the car running by christmas

UPDATE 28/10/12

another update after doing a little bit in the shed for the car,
after blocking the oil feed hole up on the oil pump i refitted the pump and bolted the sump on propely, once that was all on i retimed the engine and fitted every thing back on, just need to make a bracket for the idiler pully to replace the p/s pump and get a belt sorted, i wanted to get the engine back in the car today but it kept on raining so hopefully i can refit it next weekend instead

Size: 131.9 KB

after i done that i sorted out my brakes, i got a set of custom disc bells made by mk motorsport (thanks again for those mark) and bolted my discs to them with new ap bolts (just need to torque them up) once the discs where complete i botled the caliper brackets to the hubs and bolted it all together to see if all my measurments where corect and they where spot on the caliper clears the back of the wheel by about 3mm so there is plenty of space

thats about it for todays update, i have a few days off next month so hoping to have all my brakes and new hubs and shafts fitted so i can make a start on getting the car running

UPDATE 10/11/12

little update, had friday off work so decided to get some bits fitted to the car, also got the engine and box back in last weekend,

here are photos of the engine back in the car, was worried about the oil pump hitting the crossmember but there is loads of room there , the engine went in fairly easy

i also got my rad and intercooler back from gary aka crazycage(thanks again for doing it, i had the top o/s pipe moved from the top to the bottom because the wastegate got in the way at the top, he also moved the lower rad pipe from the side to the top ad added some brackets for it to bolt to the intercooler

Name: 20121103_175150.jpg

he also done a exhaust for me using a cossie rear box that i had

with my day off i fitted all my new ap's on and fitted the drive shafts, the dhafts fit spot on but where a nightmare to fit and think i need to modd the inner cv boots so they dont hit the support legs for the subframes

Update 15/6/13:

Its been a while since a update but thought I woild do one now since loads has been done. I havent got mant photos of the work thats been done but the car is now about 98% ready for its mot.all thats left to do before its mot are to bind up the loom inside tje car behind the dash and to re bleed the breakes and make a gearbox brace and to sort a leak out on the drysump kit.

There where a few set backs that made me lose intrest in it like having to take the gearbox back out and strip it down after not being able to get 5th propely and clearence issues with bits in the engine bay butafter deciding that it has to be done by the end of the month I got on it and done all the bits.

The only photos I have at the moment are ones of the engine bay in its current state.only a few bits left to tidy up there then its finished untill mapping when some bits will be added and changed

Sorry if all the photos come out in random places but ime using my phone and its annoying doign it
