We liked the laughter also

I know the Ring pretty well so that's a big plus for trying to keep it out of the barrier

Car's at home, picked it up this afternoon with my neighbour

Took cambelt cover off and this is how it looks

As you can see the auxillary timing pulley is damaged so most likely something like a small stone came in
Tomorrow we're gonna see if there are valves bend so wish me luck

Oh fuck!!! Did you hear any noise when this happend? Or did the engine still run? If you have valve cutouts in the piston there is a good chance that you have no damage!

This is why I think having a cover is pointless. If something enters the pulleys, at least it has more of a chance of being shoved out in motion and not bouncing back in off the cam belt cover.

Good luck on getting it back in one piece

No good news

My mate took the head off after some examination and this is the result.

All exhaust valves bend bigtime

By the looks of it also maybe a few inlets

Pistons damaged

And last but not least 2 cracks in the block to waterjackets

Best to move this thread to the resto section i'm afraid
