Been super busy the last few months with work and messing with my Cabby Turbo but I finally have an update
The reason for the long wait was due to the fact that I could not be bothered to sort the left side arch out as I wanted to stone chip the sills and arches behind the kit before any paint went on, So with the left arch's done and the both sills and all four arches stone chipped I finally got some colour on it
I'll get pics of the underneath up soon
Cheers for looking

Got my top mount rings from a company off Ebay so got them weld on the other day,
Got to get the front off the spit now and fit the bumper so that I can see where to weld on a tow eye thread for a removable screw in tow eye, Gone try and do it so that I can use either an 80 or 90 spec bumper just in case.

Been cracking on the last week or so, Now due to the original front anti roll bar housing the front tow eye I had to come up with a new solution, after all it is a Ford so with the front bumper opened up for better air flow I decided to attach it to the new cross member and use a removable screw in type of a Renault item as it is nice a long, so this is the end result
I'll get some more progress pics up soon

Before I fitted/welded the top mounting rings I knew I had to make a small modification to the bonnets inner frame to get it to close, so after a bit of drill and cutting the frame looked like this
and now the bonnet closes
So fitted the bumper just check that everything lines up ok and i'm 100% happy
Whilst on the subject of the front bumper, something had been bugging me with the lower front rubber splitter and the cut out that goes over the standard Escort tow eye, as mine no longer has it in the usual place I had to get rid of the cut out. So my mate came to the rescue with a Mk1 Focus item. This is them compared and the fixing profiles
fixing profile
And the tow eye cut out
The ERST is 40mm deep and the Focus is 60mm so winner winner.
And after a trim to shorten it a few inch's and the ends shaped like the standard item
This isn't the splitter i'll be using as it's a bit battered so now I know it fits i'll get a better one. This could be used on a standard ERST with the tow eye section cut out.
