How much paint?
Hi, can anyone help me? I am losing the will to live with the foverever moving goalpost that is my 2.0l zvh conversion.
Does anyone know how much paint would be required to repaint the gem (mk4 escort cabrio including shuts and possibly a lick over the engine bay)?
Also any ideas on where to get the paint from without the need for another mortgage would be a great help?

Thanks very much, I'll try that, thought it would be expensive on there to be honest.
What is the best make to go for? Do I need etch primer or are there other types? (I know nothing about paint, or anything else for that matter) but I was aiming at the higher end of the quality scale, laquered finish?
Thanks again

Paint quantities differ if using solid or basecoat paint , solid colours dont need to be laquered so cutting down on paint and cost , where as basecoats needs to be laquered , so doubling up on price .
Personally id always etch prime the car after prepping as then your starting with a firm solid grip substrate , then apply your 2 pack primer , flat down and spray top coat .
More paint applied , more paint there is to flat back and polish up .

Always well worth buying an extra litre for later IMO
Any slip ups, spills or damage on fitting up or even scrapes 6 months down the line and you already have the perfect match ready to go
