Once you add something it turns up on the front page. So this post will end up at the top of the front homepage.

new picture added for my RWD C20LET gatrac escort.

Got the new Hella lights now, woudnt believe it they sold them 1mile from where i live how uncanny is that. Previously searched the web high and low, found hella catalog and outlets, lucky for my one outlet was local, Wiring is now complete. If anyone does this conversion i have complete knowlage of wiring a C20Let to an RS Turbo/XR3i if you require any help. It wasnt easy took me 2 weeks to work out where it all should go. Looking back it is now so simple. Not. lol.

Tried to get a side view, but it raining didnt want to take her out. Painted by me, first time i ever tried it it, very hard work, but looks good. To finish her off she needs, plumbing up, fuel and coolant, extending the battery cable as there in the boot with fuel tank, and brake pipes, thats about it, shes got a GT35 turbo now and stainless manifold, phase 3 ecu, hopefully when its done trying for around 400/450 bhp mark, engine is well uprated H- beam rods mahle pistons, knife edge crank, i could go on but dunna want to bore you.

The arches are alluminum tarmac arches as are the sills, dont know who fabricated them, but are perfect fitment, the car was built by Denis Moody from Gartrac so they must have made the arches and sills

One thing for me mate, im not keen on the wing mirrors, think original escort ones would go better or even race versions, just my opinion.

Does anyone know how i can run a speedo on this engine as the gearbox is R25/28 gearbox and has no drive inside the box to drive the cable. im told there is a sensor on the engine somewhere and goes to the ecu, but cant find any wiring for this.

Ive sorted it now, took the spacer out of the back of the gearbox and put a speedo drive gear in, and put a new gearbox seal back on

Dragging it out this week for some full blown pics. J ust decided to change inlet manifold for an aftermarket one, maybe a swedish plenum welded to the original inlet, with big cozi throttle body, if i can get one cheep enough, i had one from ebay last year for my 3 door and it was the worse made manifold ive ever seen and the guy is knocking wm out for 230 buff. Id be ashamed if i sold owt like that to anyone, but hey thats just me.

Update. i now have me wheels on, Weller steels 14 x 8 re powder coated and brand new 205 x 60 x 14 rubber. not a deal to do now, brake lines, fuel lines, rad cooler and exhaust and an external wastegate. Could do with a nice front lower front spoiler for it to finish off the body work. Ive also had a motorsport zebra stripe kit for it but dont know whether it will look right or not.
