yep got the quote from turbo dynamics and shit my pants lol
so went and picked up the turbo thinking that it'll have to wait as I've already spent too much this year!
on our way home Fi (my wife) called CR Turbo, they said to pop in as we were close by to discus my options
2 hours later I walked out with a fully rebuilt and upgraded turbo for over Ł200 less than i was quoted
Oh and it turns out its a GT30.76 not a.71

so what's your mrs getting out of this deal then matt? it seemed awfully nice of her to sort your car problems out...
i'd be suspiciously suspicious about women getting blokes things for cars because you know she'll wait until you can't say no to ask you to do something

Nothing really to update mate,
If I want more bhp I'll need to change the exhaust housing, but at the mo the spare money I had each month is going on the boys child care(boooo!) so any changes will be a bit slower now,
I need to drop the rear beam at some point to give it a clean up and maybe see about improving it in some way,
Then fit the new front hubs I got off Jay as the ones on the car are not the best as the pinch bolts have been drilled out and been replaced with nuts and bolts

Little update
Myself and another member were trying to get 6deg beams made at a better price but unfortunately they were just too abour intensive so makes (too MuchŁŁŁ) to bother with I'm really gutted as we've spent the last 2 months chasing around and my cars been sat in bits for months for mocking up and tbh I could have pretty much got a ready made beam for not a lot more than I've spent on this one!
Anyway it's a really nicley made item I'll let the pics do the talking!
M22 rose joints from McGill motorsport
Obviously while it was apart I've cleaned and painted as I went along I've replaced the brake pipes and painted them green then fitted a new fuel pump cradle and I'll be painting the fuel tank at some stage just to tidy things up,
I've fitted new rear wheel bearings while it was apart! with the most expensive hub nuts ever lol
Still loads of bolts I want to get plated/replaced but it's getting there!

Nope
lol couldn't have put it better myself
You never know what santa will bring me
Anyway onwards and upwards,
Have fitted the boot lock tonight but its never that easy as I didn't know that the 2wd and 4x4 boot lids were different
2wd
4x4
A quick bit of modding with a little grinder and it was sorted so alls good
Have also fitted up the sunroof after getting the glass bonded back to the frame and using a weather strip/seal from a Peugeot
Also replaced all the door rubbers with new stuff got a roll of it for under Ł50 bit of a bargain from http://www.automobiletrim.com also got a roll of black roof lining material and high temperature glue loads cheaper than anywhere else I tried well worth a look for trim stuff
Tucked up for the night

Cheers jay,
Not really done much, I've got a new lower dash to fit as it's had a 4x4 one fitted and it's never fitted well do that's a job I'll be doing tomorrow and if it stays dry I might even pop it in to work and set the beam up!
Still looking for a mint sunroof as the repaired one doesn't quite sit square.
