V8 Sierra 2WD

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Over here the Granada/Scorpio has more of a dip in the middle.
It's a touch wider but will work with stock lower arms.
XR4Tis have 26mm front bars and the Scorpio is 27mm so a bit of an upgrade as well.
When I did my V8 I used a T5 and had no ARB clearance issues, I assume your bellhousing must be bigger?

I'll keep an eye out for the Scopio ARB if it has a bigger dip

re the cossie granada front arbs
they should be 29.3mm thick and when you lay them op top of a normal sierra 2wd arb they should have the same angles on the threaded bit that the outer tca bush goes through
if they are of a different angle then they will more than likely be the 4wd arb's
i went through a lot of testing back in the bay and the granny bars made the turn spot on but the straight ahead a bit vauge and dead when coupled with the 4wd versions so bare that in mind if you are thinking of changing anything else in the front as to what effects it will have on the geometry

I had a complete RED back end on my 3dr years ago after expiring many 7.5" diff, bloody heavy but bomb proof and a great LSD.
I have loads of pics somewhere of it fitted to the beam, this was like well over 15 years ago I had it.
The RED cars used them in the early 80s.

The Granada roll bar pushes the TCA's forward, so you need to move the lip further back on the roll bar where the big washers fit over the bar to get it back into the Sierra position.
If that makes any sense?

Before ford motorsport campaigned the sierra Cosworth RED rallied the early sierra's, they quickly realised the 7.5" unit was crap and used the 4HA into the sierra beam.

No, sorry, its 5mm you need to machine back on the ends (not the very ends) of the roll bar to move the cups/washers 5mm back and ultimately the TCA's.
Ask Damo with the BOB turbo Saff.
Not the clearence under the bell housing that you are after - I have no idea if they are different in that respect.

Regarding the arbs I machined 25mm off mine a run the thread right to the end and fitted a slim nut at the end (like track rod locking nuts) so that you can adjust the front end fully(with adj TCA's)
Have you looked into machining the bell house for the clearance or is to severe

Nice idea on the adjustable caster angle!

Could you not move the caliper round anticlockwise so the bottom mounting hole is above the bottom hole on the hub.
Then you would only have to form one 10mm deep scollop out of the caliper and the caliper would then be 10mm more onto the disc as you need
Just doing the same thing to my Cortina, 305mm disc in a 15 inch wheel
Cortina,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Porsche,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Alfa Romeo
scollops
fitted (ish)

Long overdue update....
I've been finishing off the under side, re-sanding and painting it again.
Off the spit !
Fixing some scabby bits in the sunroof tray as well as some dents in the roof.
Rear spoiler captive nuts were rotten aluminium ones and I could not get hold of any that would fit and have a M6 thread. Had to make some at work.
Welded in and ground smooth
Re-seam sealed the roof gutters and around the sunroof tray, sanded it all down again and gave it another squirt of primer.
Finally, I've spent some cash on nice bits rather than sand paper and paint

The shell is looking awesome!! Just for information, the Granada ARB is the same as the sierra one, apart from that it is slightly wider to accomodate the longer tcas. The angle to clear the gearbox is exactly the same and so is the length for the caster angle.
