mad project idea V6 Escort
hi all as u can guess yep its a mad crazy but i like the sound of it and i need lots of help for starters does anyone know if it can be done or if someone have done it b4 wot im wantin to do is put a 2.8 or 2.9 v6 in to a mk5 escort its now got the cossie looks and just needs the get up and go everyone does the rst or the cossie engine but i want to do something else and wot better than the good old V6 if anyojne can help let me know cheers Phill

Many many years ago Ford themselves produced a one off V6 Mk 5 Escort. It was basically an Escort Cosworth shell, with the upper rear wing deleted, the front splitter removed, and a late spec bonnet with the oval grille. Under the bonnet was a 2.9 V6 24v Granada Cosworth lump. They opted for the 5-stud hubs from the Granada also, and fitted those 16" rims with the flat wide spokes.

Bit off the topic but here is one nice finnish taunus with boa engine (2.9 v6 24 cosworth with turbo and megasquirt). Car owner state that taunus has +400hv / ++500nm / ++250kmh. Here some nice video and pics
