'Eleanor the E' - don't laugh!
Haven't been on PF for a while so thought I would keep you updated....
It's copied from another forum in case bits dont make sense
Thought I'd chuck a post up in the 'projects' section, as I haven't already.. 8)
The reason for Eleanor? - Simple, my last 3 sierras were called sarah and it kind of exhausted the name (oh and gone in sixty was on TV.)
sooooo... here goes..
Bought on the 28th September 2006 from someone who advertised on the FSOC. 3 former keepers but one family owner. First Sierra I've had out of five with 2x sets of keys... (81,000 Miles on the clock)
was fine with it standard for quite a while....
Then I got some clear fronts from Stig...
The exhaust was starting to fail and get noisy so i decided to opt for a performance one.. going by advice on the FSOC I bought an ashley 4" performance system. Around the same time, i treated her to some smoked rears i found...
After all this I was hunting around on eBay and came accross some alloy wheels that i thought might suit it..
£200 later and they are on the car...
Next thing i have to add is my cossie grill i just got from ebay which i fit today;
and i'm also hoping for suspension and brakes to follow soon :P
I was busy today and changed over headlight and fitted my cosworth grille.. it was a pain to fit because there was more room to make it fit on the azura i had... I had to saw away most of the headlamp plastic and even now its not exactly perfect, - but here's another picture of her as she is now. (soz about the poor quality and the fact that she's covered in mud and dust...)
(notice the r/h headlight.. i took it apart and cleaned it with fairy liquid and dishwasher rinse aid and it came up a treat : will have to get some decent pics in the day but looks alrite doesn't she :P

been a student so haven't been able to keep a sapph for that long. Had 4x 2000E's but none have been this good. Keep it, get brakes, get it lowered, 24v maybe although I am starting to think about maybe swapping for an escort until I can afford a standard 2wd cosworth.. not fussed really but if a minter of a 92 spec onwards XR3i/RS2000/Cab came along i'd be tempted to run about until cosworth time lol
Love the car though...Just can't make up my mind. I've had a 406 SRi Turbo, 405 SRi, 405 STi, 5x Sapphires (4x2000E's, 1x Azura), an escort encore and a corolla! since '02

Always ended up buying and selling when rent was due still never made a loss apart from my 405 that blew up (to be fair it never had a service and the oil filter came loose and fell off cause it had never been changed.. i didn't care about it (being a Pug) so didnt look after it as well as my fords lol
My mate Nick in Devizes has a smokestone 4x4 too (Nick80 i think) and his bro is always on here... When you say Gary do you mean Gary who had a mental black one a while back...?
Always keep an eye out for them round town, seen a white 2wd one with no skirts (looks like its had the sills replaced), the bright yellow one everyone has seen, and a mint white 4x4 as well. There was a flint grey one hangin around for a bit too. Used to be a lot of them around Swindon in the old days, but everyone seems to have sold up and got M3's etc
Always wanted a cossie since being a kid, but never been able to afford it. I'm temping but as soon as I go perm, i'll look into it
Question is keep this as its a real good shell (still has ford underseal underneath believe it or not) and look into modifying it - 24v or cos engine etc, or i guess sell it and just buy a standard decent cossie (which lets face it are pretty damn hard to find these days - its a flipin risk buying an old car, yet alone an old performance motor thats been ragged)
will be cool to see your motor ... always get to the shows in the summer
Considering having the ambers back in, but then I only like them with headlamp protectors

Yes he does need those Ambers back on
it is a very clean sierra indeed, been init a few times myself, sounds beefie with that exhaust, yeah it does need to be slammed but if he wants to get rid, id put it back to standard form (which he is i think lol)
i will also remember the time when that guy in the scooby wanted to race you off the lights, he thought you were a cossie the daft cunt

Good move! Looks best with amber indicators, standard rear lights and standard alloys. 2000E interiors are Sierra's 7-th heaven, especially in such a good condition like Yours. I would only remove the small reflectors on door edges. Beside that - perfect Sierra and I would never part with she.
I remember Your white Azura - was also a bauty.
