the plan was to totally strip and cage the car so it can be used as atrack car along with a show car for the FF stands at the shows, so it didnt stay like that for long, i stripped the complete interior out while lining it up for a cage and ended up driving it like this for a month or three

it was quite funny tho, as when i removed the foam from the rear wheel arches, it seems a mouse or something has been lunchin on it for a while as there were big holes chewed through stuff

just the sound deadening alone weighed in at 11KG

seen this in fast ford. looks like a great project. would love to do one myself. you already have a lot of parts for it dont you? get more pics up, ie with the cage etc.

know what you mean about the sound deadening. I've stripped my series 1 and the sound deadening weighed a ton.

Car looks bloody clean in the first few picks until you got your hands on it!

If you think the sound deadning was heavy, wait til you get some poly windows in there. You will be suprised at the weight of the glass.

Try opening the tailgate / boot with out the gas struts on!!! You need to be He bloody man. I can rest cols fibreglas / poly replacement on my head while i while i fill up the fuel cell!

cheers mate

no my engine isnt top secret, im NOT one of those ghays that doesnt like people copying...

anyway, spec is:

2.0l silver top Zetec
+0.5mm Wiseco forged pistons
Carrillo steel rods
std crank
Specialized engine ported/polished/big valve head
cams?? dunno yet, most likey std 2.0l spec
Primary Designs tubular manifold
T34 with .63 zorst housing and Maram shaft - ALS!
Titan motorsport roller barrel throttles, with one off plenum being made
650cc injectors (not got em yet)
SECS S8 management
SECS fly-by-wire throttle contol (possibly lol)
one off flywheel from doug (Garage19) so can fit a T5 box and cossie clutch to the zetec
Helix organic clutch

aim is 400bhp, so that means running the T34 at about 32psi lol

think thats it

Dan that post proper contradicts itself as it says you are a gay who dosnt like people copying but then you type out your engine spec. Was it a little joke what wasnt funny.

Amazing something that looks pretty turd was transformed, by Ford, into cars such as the 3dr Cosworth and RS500 isn't it? Here's hoping you do just as successful a job, but with modern 16v power! Good luck with it!

Stolen your idea...you cheeky mooonkey. I had copyright on that one ages ago Took me a lot me a lot of convincing for Col to throw that old boat anchor out and put some big power ZT in there. Don't you go stealing my thunder lol

You gotta give money bags his due, he has fabricated alot of custom parts himself, engine is built at home, so are inlet, and tubular manifold, engine mounts etc and engine will be home mapped. He just has the expendable income to spend on good components. Bastid Why did i ever move out, get married etc...

Yep, used to be my car.

I bought this car, not for any real reason actually, was just driving through the countryside and saw it by side of the road

I reversed back up to have a look and it was soooooooooo mint it was crazy, so i knocked on a few doors to find out whos it was n try n buy it off em

Massive book of history n allsorts.

I bought it, drove it home, and only drove it once after that IIRC, and that was down to work to sell it to Dan

I couldve sold it for loads as its stupidly good nick, but as Dan was gonna do a quality project id rather jus sell it to a mate who was gonna give it a good home.

Glad its gone to a good home as i didnt know what to do with it, was just toooooo mint not to snap up when i saw it

Gonna be the bollocks when its done

i think it looks rather fetching on the steelies, especially with the indicator bulbs selotaped to the grill
