yeah definately, im sure you arent just blindly stereotyping at all, there isnt a single good example of a corsa c out there, they are all chav shite like this one Mtech are doing at the moment for a customer:
Chav rubbish with its tacky 400bhp rwd supercharged engine revving to only 10 grand and its nasty ligthweight bodyshell made of carbon panels.
utter rubbish, id sooner walk

To be fair to the lad in question on that linked thread in the first post, he's got a couple of 6"*9" speakers in his car, its not really crime of the century.
He seems to have put some effort into doing it, and made a reasonable job for a first attempt on limited budget, he invovled his dad and mrs etc, surely thats a relatively positive thing to be doing together?
Hardly as chav as most of his generation out having fights in the highstreet instead

I have a Corsa C. I'm not a chav!
The site is very very gay though, I try not to use it other than for any decent parts for sale. They put ftw or ftl after everything they say, and everything is always 'EPIC'

A boy near me, also on Corsa-c built this:

Goes on about it as if it was amazing. If anyone says anything on the site he's like "yeah but it's not as good as mine, I had 2 mag features"

They are actually cracking handling little cars with only a few changes, and I think that in a few years there will be some pretty serious ones doing trackdays, the astra vxr is a breeze to fit into them too, which is the route I might go down with mine (ive got a corsa c daily) at some point.

I think the corsa C being more modern lends itself to the young lads who are into bodykits, but even that one still isnt too bad TBH.

I've made a start towards ZLETing mine Chip. Got a 1.8 rear beam, 308mm front brakes and just ordering Koni coilovers. Once I've got the coilovers it's all set to buy the mounts and bits n pieces.

If its a 1.0 or a 1.2 then the ECU should be able to stay when you fit a Z20LET or Z20LEH, as they are the same ecu, so if you get an aftermarket VXR/LET map put onto it then it will still work with the immobiliser and be tied into your car etc.
Mine is a 1.2, so thats what I am intending to do.

Was quite funny because on the way up to Mtec (I went there to use the rollers to map my corsa b) I was chatting to the mrs about what I would really like to do with my corsa c and putting a JWRC set of arches on it to allow wider track etc, and then when we got there she was like "oh like that one", im sure she now must think they are common cause it was only 10 minutes after I was talking about doing it that she saw one

which engine is yours?

My cousin works for Kerr & Smith and said he'll bring Tech 2 over to put the astra gsi map on it, then if I get more add ons he can put the Thorney maps on for me.
The hardest bit is supposed to be the wiring!

I'll try and find a few threads that Gary has done the zlet on. He sat and worked out where the pins were and where they needed to go and sketched it down roughly. I'm sure he has tidied his diagrams up but the outcome is the same. The 1.4 and 1.8 ecu's are the same wiring, which are the ones that need to be changed

Heres his conversion guide, 2 years old now and some of the pics arent there anymore, but it gives you the rough outline. He does say 2 years ago that you cannot use a 1.4 or 1.8 ecu, he has found out how to do it now though!

Heres his rough pics for using the 1.4/1.8 loom, obviously they make sense to him, i dont have a clue
This is probably his most detailed conversion, done for his mate:

He also did a 1.2 to ZLET in 3 days for himself!!

Go easy on the lad... we all had to start somewhere. I remember seeing some pretty shonky old fords back in the day that were no better than his.
Personally I never had anything as shonky as that, but hey, whatever floats your boat
Oh yeah, I drive a corsa C... 1.0 3 cylinders of pure power.. but at 500 miles to a tank of cheap petrol its worth its weight in gold
