Default My 2nd 1st post - L Reg Sierras

As this thread was lost in the sands of time, il repeat it.

I was after finding out if there were many Lregs sierras,
A few kind people had posted some info and pics but i didnt get a chance to see the pics as they were blocked at work. Sadly i came to check them now 'n they gone'!!

My Auntie has a diamond white saph cos L***UYJ ( I think). I'll try and get some digital pics of it, only got photos of it

Well like i said in the last post which got lost,yes they did make a L reg saff but people have beat me to it this time.

Ford never "made" an L Reg Sapphire, but some cars they made weren't registered until long after they were built.

The only advantage I can see to one of these late reg cars is that they open up a few new possibilities on the private plate front.

L45 TXR, or M1 NTY, M8 NTE, etc.

Why are you looking for a L reg Sierra? I take it, it has something to do with a kit car? If so, you thought about a Granada?

You are correct, its for personal plate reasons.

Yes this has been an option thats been drawn to my attention, but allthough that would provide the main components (trans/driveshafts etc) allowing me to retain the 'nadas reg, I would still need to buy parts from a sierra to (hubs, rack, column, etcetc) so was hoping to just make the one donr purchase and not spend as much on other parts!

Thanks for the help guys.
