My old 3dr for sale on e bay
Lovely, honest, very solid 3 dr. I sold this just over 2 yrs ago, looks identical and it's done almost zero miles since I sold it.Not used by the looks of things, just stored.

And that's the problem the values now are to much for me to actually enjoy the car and drive it as it should be driven unfortunately.

That T38 is a lazy turbo though, I personally would change it for something a bit more lively like a GT3071R or a BW 7064.
Yes James, will be a very good investment I think. However me personally I would want to enjoy the car a bit and not have it stored for a few yrs and sell it on for a healthy profit, having said that each to their own I guess.

Indeed, I missed out on keeping hold of it, same happened to me when I owned the 500, prices more than doubled not long after I sold it back in 2008, I'm never lucky like that. Then again that's what you get for changing your cars constantly I guess.

If you can afford that sort of money to sit on for 2 years i suppose theres not much else you'll make 10-12k on for not actually doing anything. As for a 500 doubt id ever let one of those go regardless

Luckily I doubled my money selling the Tommi, but I never bought it for that, I was lucky they started to rise in value.
It's quite sad really because it's made quite difficult for your average man to buy, own an RS these days, gone are the days at National Day when the track was flooded with them, we'll not see that ever again

Lee, don't beat yourself AND don't do regrets mate, I, as you know owned a E30 M3 Evo sport back in 1998 with just 15k miles on it, today that car is over 110 grand I sold it for 15, but All's relative. I also had a 13k mile 22B, sold it for 24k, today over 70, that's not to mention the Cossies etc, you'd drive yourself barmy.

That is 100% true about National Day etc was flooded with cossies but very few in recent years as owners are affraid to use them now due to the large price hikes and as you say it's more and more difficult for the average person to go out and buy an RS and many other 80/90s performance cars, the prices are rising rapidly now,so expensive nowadays. The cars you mentioned of yours above, awesome especially the E30 M3, very speical indeed.

Obviously not a financial shame but a personal shame when people who have these are scared to use them due to the values now. Perhaps I should feel lucky mines a piece of shit so I can drive the ass off it and have fun lol

I'd never own another now, there are so many better cars out there for what folks are selling, buying these for, and before anyone starts with that old crap of, " yeah but modern stuff has no soul, Cossies are awesome bla bla," yes they're a great old car that can be great fun and fast , but 30-40 -60-100k not for me. Lol

Did it meet its reserve? 27k seems quite fair to me, does look like a very nice one mind.

I spoke to the lad through txt and he wanted minimum £30k, as said above, the normal guy on the street cant keep up with these prices, getting out of reach.
I sold my Escos last year for £19k, now lad wants £30k, bonkers!!

its very nice, but 30k is a strong deposit on a house, love them but if had had 30k in my bank I think I would have to be wiser than to blow it on a car, guess it doesn't matter so much when 30k is loose change for some people mind.
