Before I say hello I would like to mention that I did read up on Mark 3D's sticky about where to post and where not to. I could not find a dedicated introduction section or I missed it. Now that that's outa the way

I'm Adni from sunny RSA, driving a 1992 Sierra 3.0i RS. In SA we just call it iRS. As many of you know by now we had the Sapphire Ghia, Sapphire 3.0i RS and Sierra 3.0i RS over here with essex fuel injected engines.

I'm happy to have stumbled upon this forum. It kinda feels like I've been here before AND introduced myself already

Anyway, I know I'll pick up lots of tips and suggestions here.

Cheers guys.

The car's body and interior needs lots of attention, which will be attended to when time and money gets on my side
I had the engine overhauled and it still needs to be dyno tuned.

3.01Sierra RS Welcome to our forum. Nice looking car. I am a fan of the 3.0 V6 Essex engine. I wonder why Ford offered it with fuel injection for South Africa and Weber carb for the UK? There were a lot of Ford options for SA that were never available here.

The EFi units were a combined project between SAMCOR and Pretoria University.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Yes it does sound sweet. Here in SA most guys put on free flowing exhaust to the essex to free up some power and the sound is the bonus. Kind of a rolling tune to it when u cruise and bip bip lumpy beat on idle.

The XR6 models are carb fed, but you wouldn't be wrong for calling it xr6 iRS yes, because it's basically the same, except for the EFi, electric windows, all round disc brakes (Sapphires have ABS setup aswell) and some tiny odds & ends. It is however registered as 3.0i RS.
