I must not have pushed mine has hard cause in the 10 years ive owned it ive never had the back end out. Ive had it a few times when the back end has has gone ever so slightly and the car just straightened itself out.

10K+ Poster!!
I think the 500 lbft on mine and only 195 tyres helped kick the back out, I have had all 4 spinning in the dry. I hope this will improve with new rubber as although I have loads of tread I don't think the car has done 2000 miles in 6 yrs.

Cheers guys, I've kinda not been bothering this past week and the idea's been put on the back burner, still unsure what to do. think I need to just concentrate on a house and decide wether to keep the bm or sell that and get a cossie and put the rest towards the house...It's no fun being old !!

I just like the thought that mines in the garage. These days I can't afford to do anything on it apart from general servicing due to now having a young family. I use it on the odd day when I get a chance and really enjoy it. It can sit there untill a day I can do something with it. Just nice to have really.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Too many years have gone by now to make the choice, a good 2wd will start at 10k plus maybe more and a good 4x4 not far off the same, I'd buy on condition and value, maybe find a rolling shell and build an engine for it etc that's what I did.
2wd sapph is by far the best cossie produced in my opinion.

My old man recently bought a tidy 2wd and power is estimated around 350bhp, finally got through yesterday to have a good nose and shot of it.
Has to be said, felt a fair bit quicker than my late stage 3 4x4 up through the gears and deffo had to concentrate as could feel back end squirming in 2nd and 3rd - was awesome fun however on a regular basis could get a bit frustrating?!
On drive home, mine felt much more planted and smoother to drive and generally nicer all round. Both cars are 80k examples and the 2wd had a lot more rattles and squeaks inside also (leather in 4x4 and cloth in 2wd)
Don't get me wrong, I loved it and looking forward to another blast but I didn't drive home and think I must sell mine and find a 2wd if that makes sense??
Will fire a couple of pics up in the gallery shortly.

I've never driven a 2wd with that much power, personally happy to keep mine as it is (standard) although I do hanker after maybe a stage 1 on it but folk keep talking me out of fiddling with a standard car and to be fair I seldom drive it very hard anyway.
