Hello one and all!

Ive seen on here before a few of you have wrapped your car at home. How hard is this with a clear film? I just want to do the front end for stone chips just i think the bumper will be the hardest.

Or does anyone live close who could help me out with this in the near future?

Cheers.

Wrapped dozens of cars but admittedly never clear (paint protection film I presume you mean?). I was toying with trying this on my C63 so can keep you posted how I get on....

When i had my gtr (these have really shitty thin pain and chip if you blow on them the wrong way) i looked into this and the best place for recommendations if you decide to pay for it was this company, hes done some serious motors and has a really good rep.

I'm also toying with this, just to change my cars colour from boring gray to something a bit better/brighter

Has anyone used vinyl to wrap chrome trim? I might try some of this to start out with but i've heard people say vinyl does not stick to chrome?

cfoster: Yeah just to protected the paint from stone chips really, I've seen some of your work and its great!

I emailed a company but they wanted about £1500 for a full wrap... I only really want the front done to keep costs down.

Its this or the plastic dip spray?

I have been told its a lot harder than it looks. A mate did half this roof then gave up.

its certainly not as easy as it looks!! I've seen some of the so called pro's work at shows and its shocking....

Roof's tbh are one of the hardest panels as it faces upwards, i'd prefer to to sides etc over a roof any day! Front bumpers the worst depending on the car!!

£1500 sounds about right for a company to do it, all depends on vinyl brand used / colour etc (as with most things the brand of vinyl makes a massive difference with end finish....)
