Default Ford 1.5TDCi?

Unfortunately some major issues were run into while the Mondeo was in for DMF replacement. The DMF wasn't the original like I originally thought and whoever replaced it last time cross threaded all the bolts holding the flywheel on.
It was 50/50 whether or not the flywheel bolts would torque up and actually hold after the threads had been retapped and there was very little metal left. I'm not in a position to spend £1000 on a clutch change that could likely fail. I had to write it off and had to sell it spares or repair.

So I'm off to order a new Focus in the morning.
Does anyone know anything about the Ford 1.5TDCi? Is it based on any previous engines?
What are they actually like on fuel?
Do they use a wet belt like the 1.0T Ecoboost and the 1.8TDCi? It cost me £700 to get my last wet belt replaced.

I'm looking to order a Black Titanium 1.5TDCi (120ps) with privacy glass, 17" alloys and the Satnav with SYNC and the 8" touch screen.

Bailes.

That's one worry off my mind!
Just had a google and it seems it's a derivative of the PSA DV6. Hope they've fixed the design flaw with the sump.

It will be under warranty so don't worry about it.

Must diesel cars have the same problems with dmf, dpf.s, injectors.

Did you sell the Mondeo then or are you breaking it for bits?

Sold the car for £1300 spares or repair and it's already back on the road.
Absolutely gutted to have gotten rid. Unfortunately I couldn't trust the car knowing one of the flywheel bolts could come loose and take out £500s worth of clutch and fly.

Pick up the Focus in the morning.

Does anyone know if the 1.5 is a 8v or 16v?
I'd have assumed in this day and age it would have been a 16v but just checked my VIN on ETIS and it has my car down as a "1.5 DI TC SOHC" which I thought was very odd!

From what I have read the new 1.5 has a smaller bore than the 1.6 (obviously) with the same stroke as the 1.6. But there is also two versions of the 1.4 SOHC and DOHC, so the 1.5 may be a bit of a mix and match??

Mine is the highest powered 120ps model so I'd have thought it was the 16v if there was two options.
Even more confusing is ETIS has it down as a 115ps model. The 115ps is only available as a 1.6 TDCi.

Picked the car up an hour ago.
Well happy with it. Engine is adequate although no where near as grunty as the Mondeo was.
The amount of kit on the car is unreal for a Focus!

It's a Titanium so fairly high specced.
It's got cruise control, dual zone climate, 8" touchscreen DAB Radio with sat nav and Ford SYNC. She's also got front and rear electric windows, active city stop, traffic sign and speed limit recognition.
I'm impressed, especially by this engine. It's very smooth, quiet, has a very versitile rev range, and she doesn't mind to rev.
Was worried the downsize would feel like a downgrade but so far so good!

I have the 1.6 tdci in my 64 plate zetec s, and I love it its so smooth and easy to drive and I had a Audi a4 tdi 170 Quattro beforehand, And I can honestly say its fantastic compared to that apart from the great looks of a b7 avant s line I do not miss the car in any other way.
