Hi guys just bought a set of sapphire headlights off ebay, are they different to sapphire cosworth headlights? And if so what do you have to do to make them fit?

Iirc difference is the mounting for one.Cosworths are bigger unless you get ghia spec.Different grill size because no upper on the bumper .Cant think atm !!

Why? You can get proper Sapphire Cosworth headlights from any number of breakers,Have you tried Gary at RS breakers who advertises on here?

Correct, the mounting tab is different, due to the unique grill, thus the lights are also unique.

You can make other models fit, so far as I am aware, it just requires the mounting tab to be cut.

As above they are just cut. Or use all new parts on your original backs.

2wd saff head light lenses are different to 4wd. That if your bothered.

Hi Glenn,

This thread has me baffled, the correct Sapphire Cosworth headlights are readily available from lots of breakers and are not expensive. So why would you want to try and make some fit which are not the correct ones? If I was the guy that bought the headlights why not get the right ones to begin with?

2wd saff head lights will fit its just the lenses are slighty different. If the cosworth perverts look at your car they might spot them..

2wd have a wider lines on the main beam and carello marking is bigger.
