Default Classic Cosworth needed for Classic Car Show

Hi all,

We're making a new classic car show for international broadcast, and I'm looking for an early 1980s (latest, 1984) Escort for filming. The car doesn't need to be mint, but must be drivable, and in the London/SE area.

Fully insured, driven by pros etc. Filming likely to be second week of August (probably a weekend).

Please contact john@theclassiccarshow.tv or liz@theclassiccarshow.tv / 020 7953 7427 for more info.

Thanks!

Riiiiiight!
I was given this ad to post in a load of forums...

We are making a film about cops and robbers for our show, we have a 1984 police car and are looking for a vehicle to match it in the same time period. Later in the 80s and 90s cosworths were popular as getaway vehicles but because our vehicle is 1984 we are looking for something early 80s. If anyone knows an appropriate Ford I'd love to be able to pass the info on!

Apologies for our naiveté

John

I'm going to re-post this ad but do you know anyone in the club who might have such a car and be interested?

xr2 or mk3 xr3i or xr4i would be ideal, or a transit !
3dr and s1 are for garage queens

MK3 XR3/XR3i would be most suitable.

In fairness most of the cars have probably done it in the past anyway

A 3 door is too new, the car needs to be 1984 or slightly older so that rules out any Cossies.

What about a Capri 2.8i? Most sporty Fords from that era were only 2 doors (not including tailgate lol) so wouldn't make very good getaway cars, can you picture 3 heavies struggling to fold the front seats down so that they can clamber in to the back seats . Probably best looking for a early 80s Granada.
