Red cosworth
Hi there just bought a red sierra saph 4x4 cossie, 1 of 9 ive been told, has anybody any info on them? thay were seemenly built for the directors of Ford back in the day, will post up pics soon, cheeRS

I remember when they first came out and there was a programme on ram raiding in Newcastle and the pricks set fire to a brand new stolen one just for the cameras and they were all in ski masks laughing. I'm sure that was red fukn broke my heart at the time, so thats one less.

hi yes it the one off ebay and yes mileage is correct but car totally mint, av never seen another red one apart from at ford fair and i think this may be the one, my pal swapd his focus rs for it then i bought it from him yesterday, got it home on a trailer and removed cylnder head to find 2 heads of a valve lodged into no1 piston, so full rebuild itl be haha

There was a minted 70k miler on RSOC recently/last yr
There was an L plate(might be above car but not sure
There was a 2wd that had white wheels, guy was on here.
That's just to say more than 5.
I had 15 in my head.

That is an absolutely awesome looking Saph. 
I think that if I was doing a resto on a Saph, I would probably paint it red and not give a toss about originality. It looks SO much better/different to any other standard colour does.

Yep, thats Jules`s Sapphire.
Doesnt bring to many shows as he is normally on his trade stand.
Keep hastling him to bring it to some shows, hopefully this year he will.
Sits nice on the 18" Comps too

Just to throw it in the mix, how about a red 3dr, the only one to come out of the factory like it, rather than being repainted later on. The first two pics are from when it was brand new and the second pair are as it is now with a few "enhancements"

That saph on the MO's looks amazing - not so sure about the 3 door though. Mind you, Dick Johnson's 3 door did look good in red.

Looks like the camber on the rear wheels is screwed on the Red 3dr in the 'standard' pics... although it still looks better than it does with the extras that have been fitted. I reckon it'd look mega if it was sitting low on some proper wide CXNs.

John you will find there were 5 2wd ones and 7 4x4 in red,as for being directors cars,thats pish,hope you can afford diff,s and a gear box for it,i would break it and take 5k profit out of it

Iv saw a red saph sittin in a drive on anderson drive in aberdeen sometimes see a mk1 focus rs with white comps sittin there aswell. Anyone know who it is?
