Are these hard to do? my missus mot is creeping up, and both need doing

Apparently they are a twat to do on Golfs/Boras - mine had already been done when I bought the car thankfully!!

Oh dear the mechanic my missu spoke to said that its about a Ł250-300 job because its `FIDDLY`

About 3 hours with powerflex ones. Pain to get the old ones out

I has the powerflex ones fitted to the back of my old 1.8T golf. Mechanic said they were a fooker but only charged me Ł120 to do them! I think you need to drop the rear axle to do them? (dont quote me on that!!)

You "can" do it by dropping the front of the rear beam down. But its easier with it out completely. VW dealers will have a special air powered ram tool, that makes it much much easier

Replace with Powerflex ones for 2 reasons 1) Longer lasting 2) A damn site easier to fit
