Default alloy wheels sizes

hi there thinking of getting new wheels i've got 18's on all ready 7x18 et 42 tyres 215/35 all round but is a bit tight in the front

thanks

new wheels are

8x18 et 37
or
8.5x18 et 37

both with 225/35/18 tyres will these fit or use 215's

I run 8 x 18 focus alloys with a et of 42 with 215/35 its a bit tight on the front near the bumper due to havin poly bushes!as there is more room to the rear of the wheel than front,you could remove the inner bush on the TCA and make it smaller so the whell can sit more central in the arch.

This would enable 225/35's to be fitted after you have modded the lower spring cup on shock to give clearance for tyre and either rolled or cut the wing lip back a bit

You can make um fit its just time and hassle

so is et37 more wheel towards arch or towards strut as my 7x18 et 42 are close to strut and just clear no probs with rubbing on lock

ET 37 will bring the wheel closer to the arch but don't forget to take into account the extra width
