Default Mini Cooper S

I have been offered a Mini Cooper S + cash for my S2000.

Has anybody off here had much experience with them and what they are like?

Cheers

Don't worry I will be punting it on. Just want to know what they are like as it will be my main form of transport until I sell it.

handle well, bit slow in a straight line, annoying whine from the supercharger, hold their value rather well.

cant see you beating one in a golf gti. When i had me Astra GTE i raced a good few golf gti's mk2,mk3 and mk4 and cained them all with ease especially the newer ones.

When i came up against a cooper s we were literally side by side and neither could pull on the other so cant see a GTI doing one .

Was the Golf standard though?

Have raced 2 in my Leon Cupa PD150 and beat them quite easily on both accelaration and top end.

It has been remapped though so is circa 190 Bhp

Great car..... if your a hairdresser.
Seriously though had a punt in one, wasn't overly impressed, not as quick as I had hoped and a bit thirsty for a wee car.
