Default gday from australia!

hi everyone! thought i would introduce myself.i live in perth western australia and have stumbled across your website so i thought i would make myself known. i drive a 2003 ford xr6 turbo falcon and i have been buying the uk fast ford magazine for the last few months (2 months late mind you!) and am surprised how different the ford car scene is in the uk compared to oz. in oz, small fords rarely get a mention in the magazines compared to the big 6s and v8 falcons.dont take this the wrong way but even mondeos are not popular over here (last sold new here in 1998 i think).the last new escort was sold in the early 80s i think. we then had to endure ford lasers (mazda 323 with different front and butt)for nearly 15 years before focus came along. focuses are fairly popular with the xr5 (your ST) launched a few months back.i love the little fiestas (xr4 coming in a few months hopefully) but none of these cars have much of a aftermarket scene that i am aware of.

Cool! I spent a few months in WA up and down but was based in Freemantle. Got the train across to Sydney and regretted leaving as soon as I got there Wished I'd stayed where you are, absolutely loved it Had an epiphany [and sex with a dirty fat bird] on Rottnest

Get some pics up of your car mate

You don't want to move here! It's cold, wet and we use too much grit which hammers cars, I'd take the Oz climate anyday for the motor!!

Welcome mate!

I was over in Oz for a few months last year, loved the big beefy Falcons and commadores

Things are a bit different over here as you say, normal engines are like 2000cc. Over there EVERYTHING seemed to be 3900+
