A mate of mine used his as daily drive during the summer and had no problems
His is a 2.5 and is quick. obviously
Not my cup of tea personally, but he had a tuscan before for about 2 days before it broke. He was loaned another tuscan which also broke. When he got his back it broke again so he got the Noble.
Edited to add - Mk1 Mondeo rear lights

shock!a tvr breaking, love the looks hate the build. lol at lights but it does have a mondy engine too. i havent driven one yet but really like em.and in a year or so they should have dropped a bit in price, ive found tehm as low as 21k at the moment.but a good 26k car at mo should drop to 23ish i reckon by then.just confused as to what the differences are,and theres the m400 but they are alot more.

I don't know what the differences are and to be honest they look like overpriced kit cars to me.
There's a place in Chessington called mole valley that deal in TVR's and Nobles, may be worth ringing up or going down there for a chat and a look

If it were me, I would wait on for the 3.0. If I bought the 2.5, I think I would always be wondering what the other was like.
0-60 time of both cars is fierce (sub 4seconds), and the 0-100 are sub ten seconds! This is a quick car!
I have heard that they suffer from gremlin problems, though I cant offer any specifics. One of my clients has one, and his car was bugged by an electrical fault that cut his power down to almost naff all!
Probably worth it though!!

when i dropped into scc on sat, pat mentioned that mike (gadget) now owns one......dyno business must be good.
my girlfriend absolutley loves them, above ALL other cars, so got her a driving day in one, which she will be taking soon
have seen a few at motorshows etc, and they always look good, they have a kit car feel, when you get up close, but they look awesome
and the performance is

tbh they are kit cars to a degree, but a bit better than the norm.no different to tvr or the aeriel atom.im not sure if i,ll like em but want to satisfy my curiosty.may have to go to a dealer and have a snout.
wiring gremlins is just like owning a ford lol.
plus it will only be a toy and not regular use, but im trying to come up with a few options at the mo.i turn 30 next year so maybe a prezzie to myself

noble
A mate of mine has just sold his noble, it was a 3.0 gto3 and was awsome performance and unbelivable handling, he had about 6 months with no problems, his only critisism was it has no lsd which made it a bit twitchy but overall one of the best cars for the money, what else is there for Ł25k odd with that sort of style and performance??

My best mate has a 3r. Lovely car, v quick he hasnt had too many problems, apart form it doing a few belts. Servicing is fairly expensive but it always will be for a car like that.
They get seriously hot in the cabin and the windows only go half way down which is a little annoying. They do have aircon though.
Been to le man in it for 3 years running now and even drove it this year They are a very quick car but the gearbox does take a bit of getting used to. Seriously quick though and if it had a slightly better gearbox would have no problems keeping up if not going passed my mates fezza 360 cs.

My current favourite "realistic" car for two years time.
Plenty of info on Pistonheads about them - obviously as practical as any two seater "supercar". They feel quite cheap inside - switchgear, and gauges are very low rent, but I don't suppose you're buying one for that!
Make sure it's had the sump mods done if you intend to use it on track.

Nice cars and go very well. Often the only thing that gives me a run for my money in the Westy on track days.
Engines are the weak link though. Mate of mine worked on the dev for turbocharging the V6 Ford and now builds them. He reckons the engines are great until you turbo charge it when the problems begin. I remember him saying they have reliability issues and dont do too many miles before going bang or melting very easily.

same reason most companies claiming to have a LSD as standard have such weak ass LSDs its barely any different to standard.
and same reason most cars have very understeer biast suspension geometry.

As said, Check out PistonHeads forums... there is a section there for Nobles. in fact here, ya go: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?f=26&h=0
I remember reading that the early 2.5's are known to have problems with the ECU. A different ECU was fitted the later cars, and many ppl have upgraded the early ones anyway now.
I live in Chessington, just minutes from the Mole Valley Dealership that specialises in Noble and TVR. Have to drool over those cars every other week, and sometimes just stop for a quick look!

cheers mate i,ll keep those probs in mind, really want the 3.0 if i do get one.
good to see that even the boys on pistonheads with ferraris and lambos etc still bicker like some of the people on here dont matter how much money you have, you can still attract knobs!
