Default Stereo wiring

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the radio plug in an early sierra (xr4i 1984) I want to fit an aftermarket stereo & plan to cut and join a universal iso plug once I know what's what.

Pic of the plug in the car

That don't look like a radio plug..... looks more like a display plug.

Most fords if not all of that era are

Yellow ignition live
Red battery live
Brown earth
Grey/yellow trace illumination
Red/white trace power aerial.

I see none of them

Cheers Costina ! I thought it was odd. I've just had a look and found the actual radio plug and speaker wires strangely taped up away in the loom.

Excuse the shaky pic, I was being eaten alive by midges so in a rush !

Hi,
Theyre the ones. You've got no red there for a permanent feed so the clock or cigar lighter would be the place to go. White is for the electric aerial if you've got one....
You could buy a converting lead to save cutting the plug off.
Cheers,
Gavin

I would use some male spades to plug into the original.
And buy some din speaker sockets.
