1.6 CVH engine swap to...?
Hey,
I've wanted to own a Sierra for quite a bit now, and now I have to opportunity to buy one in good shape with a 1.6 engine for really cheap. That's obviously not going to make my smile reach my ears, so I'd want stick a 2 litre in.
Before anyone suggests to buy one with a factory built 2 litre engine, they're rare and generally in much worse condition, and much more abused.
Which is the engine I should go for? I'm aiming for something that needs the less modification done on the car. Basically an in-out swap, although I'm comfortable with working on cars, welding, etc, so I'm not afraid to modify an exhaust manifold if that's what needs to be done.
My options were the pinto and twin-cam from the Sierra or maybe a 2.0 Zetec from Mondeo. Which is the easiest one, and what parts do I have to get to make them work apart from the engine, management, loom, and the clutch?
Thanks, cheers!
Edit: Budget-wise the engine doesn't matter since I can get any of them for the same money.

Would the pinto be an easy swap in the place of a CVH?(I know it would be if it was for a 1.6 pinto) The CVH has its inlet/exhaust on the other side of the engine compared to the pinto. Also uses different engine mounts I suppose.
On the other hand the Zetec has it's inlet/exhaust on the same side as the CVH, and is a much younger/stronger engine than the pinto, and I can reuse CVH engine mounts.
Edit: I want to keep it EFI, great opportunity for me to try megasquirt, which I haven't yet.

As above, 2.0 Pinto with a set of 45's hanging of the side would be a nice conversion.
I'm not sure whether the gearbox tunnel is different with the CVH as apposed to the Pinto lumps, I'm fairly sure the autos ran an enlarged tunnel.
Edit: Only just read about keeping it EFI, Northampton Motorsport are doing electronic fuel injection for Webers now so you still get the retro look of carbs but with the smoother/more efficient running of ITB's, could be an option.
