Where can i get a new PAS pump for my 4x4 saph (late spec if that matters?), I've seen a few of these available from the states etc, and they appear to be a common part in Fords of that era, so I don't want to pay over the odds, but I'd like a brand new one if possible.

Ok I had a bit of free time on my hands in the last 20mins so I dug through google and found the following, basically the PAS pump is a generic hydraulic pump that is used on a lot of vehicles, and is non-Ford specific.

So my next query is, has anyone had experience of using these alternatives, or just stuck to 'Ford' ones?

Ford is £284 I know cos I tried

I had mine re conned for £40, good as new
