What options are there for around 450bhp without spending silly money? Made a plate for the front diff and looking at 7.5 rear beam an diff for the back, but what about the gearbox/clutch?

I would use a AP organic at that power......

Depends how much grief you give the clutch .... i will use a HD plate when the time comes..

Ap 6 paddle and some form of straight cut box is what you'll need to remain reliable.

Would a big tooth box with helical gears be up to it? Bara seemed to have a few different options.

I am gonna need a better box soon but dont think I want the wine of a straight cut box

The cheapest big tooth kit on the market for a 4x4 is the oppliger kit which is around £1950 for the gear kit, you then have to get that fitted into your casing, if you don't DIY it, it will be a few more hundred quid to get someone to do it for you, if you don't run into any unforseen problems whilst building the box you're looking around £2600 all done, 6 paddle AP clutch is the way to go if you're looking for big pony power but they are a bit shitty, they are either on or off, there's no inbetween

Thanks, really useful info....looks like the plan is vipec, Borg Warner twin scroll then big tooth.....I bet it will need diffs then!

I think quaiffe may be more fitted? £1000 each sounds fair if it doesn't break.

Just rebuilding the drive shafts ready. Might go supra diff if can match to the front one.
