depends on what stage of tune you are running and iginition system. Standard coil, coilpack conversion. Mines just at stage 1 (1bar of boost) and im running Escos PP8s gapped at 0.7mm and its sweet. I'm Switching to MSD Stage 3 and will be putting 071c's in it and gapping them slightly closer at around 0.6mm. Im on the standard ignition system.

If all other avenues are exhausted, when the car is warm under boost if the rev counter is jumping around you need to have a look at your engine loom

If it's just been to MSD why not take it back to them?

If the rev clock is jumping around this would normally be a sign that the phase sensor is nacked, this would also account for the misfire

Problem sorted ,i am away and the mechanic is a bit of a no it all.
ECU he said.
It was the plugs they were corroded.
Put 2bar sensor on and a new set of plugs.
The gearbox is going back to the reconditioners though as its noisy.
They are going to take it out n fix it on warrenty.
The car passed its mot today.
Yes the car passed its MOT ,a bulb and track rod ends.
Brilliant.Yes the car passed its mot.
