I used two pieces of steel flat bar with a hole drilled through both pieces then threaded a length of 10 or 12mm bar through both plates with nuts at each end then just screwed them together and it slowly presses the bush in, use plenty of grease eases the process.
So basically plate one side of beam then bush other side and other plate then bar through it all and press together.

I'm sure I put a bit of wood between the beam and the car then covered the bush in fairy liquid and jacked the car up with the jack pad under the bush pushing it into the beam.

It's easy to do, just don't rush it, the bush will slide in with grease better than washing up liquid, although fairy liquid will keep your hands softer ha ha!!
I made a puller/installer/remover same sort as above, do them on car, takes about 10-15 minutes to let the bush slide at it's own pace into the beam, just apply pressure every so often.
With the std type bushes a GGR axle tightening kit works wonders.

If you look at the std bushes when they are in you can see a big gap between the top of the bush and body, in use this allows the beam to move up and down, the GGR kit is a set of nylon shaped discs that fill this void/space and eliminate this unwanted movement, it makes a very noticeable difference, one goes on top of the bush and one under the bush.
