Hi People, are the rear arms on a 3 dr and 4x4 cosworth the same?

i think the only diffenece is where the anti roll bar mounts are?

They are different in the width of the "eye" mounting point for the damper, it being around 1/2" wider on the 4wd, that and the as mentioned arb location point.

cheers mate!! what am doing is converting a 3dr cosworth to 4x4 so I guess I'll be better off changing the complete rear end.... am I right?

Just change the arms because the beam you already have will house the bigger 7 1/2 " diff as apose to the 7" diff fitted in 4x4 rear beams.

You'll have to changes the whole rear end if you want to go 4x4 as the diff is a different ratio and the shafts are thicker and the stub axles and everything

Just leave it as it is as the hassle to change it all over for a 0.02 difference is ratios won't upset the gearbox

amm going to put 2wd rear end on mine it should be fine as the viscus should take the diffance? my friend has one on his and its fine
