Default Gear linkage/Gear stick removal MT75?? Help!

I've dropped the gearbox out of my Sapphire Cosworth and I'm a bit stuck with the gear linkage.

I can't separate the linkage from the gear stick.

I have took the gear knob off and undone both of the gaiters but I cant get the spring collar off, the one you pull up to engage reverse. I'm frightened I might snap it.

I've tried from underneath but I can't see any circlips or nothing!

Can anyone help with this please, surley I can't be the only one that has come across this??

Thanks...

The think that you pull to engage reverse is not dismantled. Below the pin that is moving in order to sellect reverse when you lift the colar is a locking pin that you can remove with a drift or something and then you can remove the top part of the gear lever

There's 2 pins a longer one and a shorter one that sits flush with the shaft underneath it do you mean this one??

If so how will it go back in?

Thanks!!

Yes the flush one. You can reinstall it easily if you move the gear lever to the left and use a punch and a small hummer to drive the pin in place. It will go in relatively easily with a few soft blows...
